Specific Job Summary

In this role, the candidate will function as a technology leader in the engineering design, planning, and delivery of enterprise-class security systems both on premises and in the cloud. We are seeking strong, self-motivated candidates with a proven track record of understanding security controls, understanding of security operations and architecture, and with a keen ability to work across an organization to implement and validate security controls.

Responsibilities include

  • Mid to detailed level design of secure enterprise information systems and networks by determining security requirements, documenting and testing enterprise-class security infrastructure and controls.
  • Operational understanding of end-to-end security tool sets and supporting processes.
  • Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats and design detailed engineering elements and controls to mitigate threats as they emerge.
  • Assist in the development of solutions that balance business requirements with security privacy and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with system/infrastructure administration, database administration, IT development, and network infrastructure teams in order to implement practical security solutions
  • Determine and publish security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments, studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; and preparing cost estimates.
  • Plan security systems infrastructures and controls by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs) wide area networks (WANs) cloud services routers firewalls and related security and network devices; design public key infrastructures (PKIs) including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; and ensure that G6 adheres to industry security standards as appropriate.
  • Implement security systems by specifying tools techniques and equipment; direct equipment and software installation and configuration; prepare preventive and detective controls; and compile documentation.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the supporting processes and documentation for information security systems, processes, and controls
  • Develop resource sizing and capacity planning for supporting Information Security toolsets
  • Further refine physical and logical security architecture in support of business initiatives
  • Experience in NIST CSF/SOX/ICFR/PCI-DSS Compliance engineering support

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Contributes to the overall information security program model including identifying and implementing opportunities for maturity improvement.
  • Day-to-day managerial tasks as assigned
  • Other Internal/External Audits
  • Interfaces with Internal Controls, Internal Audit and External Auditors as required to satisfy any audit related policy and compliance deliverables or work items.

Major Decision-Making Impact:

  • Assess security tools and technologies, recommend security related products for consideration within the MVW global computing environment.
  • Provide senior level operational support and act as Tier 1 level support for the Information Security organization as needed
  • Leverage key integration points to maximize efficiency and utilization of existing tools and process

Specific Candidate Profile


Education -- BS/BA in Information Security or other IT related degree highly valued.

Experience -- 8+ years' work experience in Information Security or a similar position or having equivalent skills and experience is highly desired. Experience in hospitality industry vertical is a plus.
