Job Summary

Procure timeshare membership sales for MVCI. Follow through all documentation processes to successfully close contracts. Provide after sales services to members. Sell in an ethical manner and create clear expectations of the membership. Provide the personal touch to enhance guest's experience at the gallery by following these three absolute rules as per the Eagle Flight Plan.

The Three Absolute Rules

There are Three Absolute Rules which may not be broken during the sales presentation. MVCI monitors these behaviors, rewards them when consistently adhered to, and reacts accordingly when broken.

1) All guests must leave their presentation experience liking Marriott as much as and preferably more than when they came in.

2) Sales Executives may never misrepresent the product or the company.

3) All guests are given the opportunity for a full presentation and gallery tour.

Coordinate with member and financial services to facilitate after sales assistance. Work hand in hand with sales and supporting departments, namely Quality Assurance and New Owner's Administration. To maintain a positive attitude in all aspects of work and personal behavior at all times.

To follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all customers; anticipate and address customers' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank customers with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational quality. Attend all company's events and participate willingly.

To report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop; visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines; move up and down stairs and/or service ramps; move, lift, or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Sales Process

  • Complete full presentations with the aim of selling the membership.
  • Address customers' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
  • Anticipate customers' service needs, including asking questions of customers to better understand their needs and watching / listening to customer preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
  • Engage customers in conversation regarding their stay, experiences and vacation dreams.
  • Adhere through proper sales processes, and following through diligently with the documents.
  • To travel to guests home, special events, overseas assignments for sales as required.
  • Assist other associates to ensure proper coverage and prompt customer service.
  • Thank customers with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
  • Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, including assisting visually, hearing, or physically-impaired individuals within guidelines (e.g., escorting them when requested, using words to explain actions, writing directions on paper, moving objects out of the way, and etc).

Sales

  • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.

Membership Sales

  • Overcome potential owner objections while maintaining a polite and enthusiastic demeanor.

Communication

  • Speak to customers and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in one's voice, using the callers' name, forwarding requests to appropriate person/department within 48 hours.
  • Talk with and listen to other associates to effectively exchange information.

Computer Skills

  • Use multiple computer systems and software packages to cross reference, input, and access, modify, store, or output information
  • Enter and retrieve data from computer systems using a keyboard, mouse or trackball.

Working with Others

  • Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Promote positive attitudes and dispelling and reporting associates with negative outlooks. Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
  • Handle sensitive issues with employees and/or customers with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals.

Policies and Procedures

  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.

  • Follow MVW, MVCI and department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure attire, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Tasks

  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Other:

  • Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Be proactive and have a flexible approach to work, meeting the needs of the team and the business at all times.
  • Maintain an attitude and commitment to provide excellent service to all customers and associates.
  • Respond sensitively to the needs and feeling of others, regardless of status of position; accept interpersonal differences and maintain a constructive rapport with all associates and customers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Marriott Vacation Club product lines.
  • Maintain computer systems knowledge (WIKI, Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Maintain current computer systems knowledge as used by the company.
  • Work with all colleagues as a team, supporting the needs within that team and those of the business at all times.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Proficiency in the use of computer word processing skills with specific knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Must be able to handle a flexible work schedule which will include weekends and evenings
  • Experience in high volume, fast-paced, results oriented business environments,
  • Ability to work under pressure, manages multiple priorities, and be a self-starter.
  • Display proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization.
