1. Overall Responsibilities:

To assist guests with their purchases in the Golf Shop and with all special individual requests for services and information.

 2. Job Functions:

  • Provide customer sales service (Floor Coverage) in Golf Shop.
  • Restock floor merchandise.
  • Clean shop according to standards throughout the day and before departure and closing.
  • Change displays on a regular basis with new merchandise as directed.
  • Register golfing guests and members when needed.
  • Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
  • Report to work on time in proper and clean uniform, including name tag. Personal appearance and grooming must conform to LSOP.
  • Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards. Conform the cash handling procedures at all times.
  • Sell guest items in the Golf Pro Shop according to standards.
  • Handle all phases of the cash register such as employee discounts, voids, charges, as well as cash sales, using proper cash handling procedures. Use proper categories when ringing up items.
  • Open and close shop per policy.
  • Continually stock/restock merchandise, including candy, newspapers, sundries and other merchandise sold.
  • Assist with general and subclass inventory.
  • Assist guests with purchases, utilizing knowledge of price and selection of goods on hand.
  • Assist with ticketing goods.
  • Help with displays.
  • Assist with training of new hires.
  • Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
  • Answer the phones according to the standards of proper etiquette and as fast as possible (no more than three rings).
  • Assist all guests in problems and questions as required. Ensure that all guest problems are resolved by using the Guest Response Program procedures.
  • Assist fellow associates in their jobs to ensure that all jobs are done in time.
  • Have knowledge about all emergency procedures and know how to act on them.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the Manager.
  • At all times strive to represent MVW in the most professional manner.
  • Be disciplined at all times, greet guests immediately and offer assistance before guests need to ask. Focus your total attention to the customers.
  • To insure the proper handling of cash, checks, petty cash vouchers, and other vouchers in a safe and secure manner.
  • Any change received from second party associate / shift leader must be counted in front of the second part.
  • Count cash and list on deposit envelope by denomination.
  • Have bank and deposit envelope verified by Shift Leader.
  • Both cashier and person verifying need to sign and secure bank deposit.
  • Shift leader should verify bank and deposits of other cashiers on same shift so totals are available for shift closing.

 3. Safety Awareness:

Maintain safety by adhering to safety policies, and be responsible to report accidents immediately. Support all safety programs. Proceed with caution when walking on slippery floors and congested areas. Ensure that proper safety instructions are given before operating any equipment.
