OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assist guests and associates with store purchase and any specific request for services or information. Strive to make sure that all guest leave satisfied

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:



Reports to: MarketPlace Manager and Supervisor

Supervises: N/A

Interfaces: Customers, suppliers, Heads of Departments, MVW Associates

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist and learn how to re-stock a store accordingly.
  • Greet all customers as they enter the store and offer any assistance immediately.
  • Learn and perform operations with cash register and follow all banking procedures set forth by the company.
  • Assist in all store operations. Maintain a working knowledge of store equipment.
  • Follow safe working practices and conditions within the department.
  • Maintain positive public relations and a pleasant attitude with all guests and associates.
  • Help maintain cleanliness in the work area and store at all times.
  • Learn and assist in store inventories.
  • Learn everything related to shipments/invoice verifications, merchandise, pricing, stoking and assist in inventory control.
  • Learn about all activities in the resort.
  • Be knowledgeable of C-7 sheet and spillage sheet.
  • Learn how to comply with 39 point Checklist

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:[1]

  • Provide assistance to all departments if staffing levels require.
  • To perform all reasonable tasks as required by Resort Management and business demands.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling and stooping, lifting up to 30kg, climbing ladders and up to 5 floors of stairs
  • Good visual observation.
  • Walking and working outside of air controlled areas.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all time.

OTHER:

  • Be punctual and wear the name tag and uniform at all times during working hours.
  • Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Comply with MVCI and Marriott International polices and procedures.
  • Be proactive and have a flexible approach to work, meeting the needs of the team and the business at all times.
  • Maintain an attitude and commitment to provide excellent service to all customers and associates. Respond sensitively to the needs and feelings of others, regardless of status or position; accept interpersonal differences and maintain a constructive rapport with all associates and customers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Marriott product lines.
  • Maintain computer systems knowledge (MS Office, e-mail etc)
  • Work with all MVCI colleagues as a team, supporting the needs within that team and those of the business at all times.
