Primary focus is on email marketing; the Email Marketing Manager manages overall tactics and implementation of online communication with customers and leads. This role provides expertise in email marketing for developing creative design and copy and optimization of usability, deliverability, and conversions.

  • With Director of Marketing develop property, company and brand-wide Email Marketing strategy and tactics
  • Develop the email campaigns via html, including imagery and directing the design, testing, and deployment
  • Create and maintain the Email Marketing schedule and actively participate in discussions with properties, ecommerce, online marketing and revenue management teams to capitalize on opportunities
  • Work closely with ecommerce team members to develop optimized landing pages for email marketing initiatives
  • Manage all aspects of segmentation of existing customer base and leads with emphasis on conversion optimization
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing to develop KPIs, goals, and benchmarks. Ensure proper tracking and reporting is developed and maintained. Manage Email performance reporting to be shared with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive email list growth tactics and execution across multiple channels, serving as email acquisition authority across the organization. Manage the process of securing new leads via company owned assets as well as via third party
  • Work closely with Marketing and Ecommerce teams to ensure email communications with customers adhere to brand standards
  • Manage all aspects of email communication and notification throughout the booking process inclusive of confirmation, prestay upsell opportunities, and post stay
  • Manage all tools, systems and act as point of contact for vendors used for managing Email Marketing campaigns and booking email flow. Keep abreast with new technology, systems and best practices and when possible, implement or use in test phase

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant subject

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing email marketing programs
  • 3+ years of advanced HTML and CSS development, specifically for use in emails
  • Strong experience with template and graphic design using the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong track record in executing successful email marketing campaigns that with focus on conversion and revenue driving
  • Experience in email database segmentation and understanding of database managment
  • Deep extenstive experience with ESPs
  • Must possess excellent writing skills
  • Extensive experience working with analytical tools and setup KPIs and measurement
  • Quality Assurance methodology to troubleshoot across device, browser, email client issues
  • Experience in performing A/B and multivariate testing for email campaigns
  • Must exhibit superior judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Hotel/hospitality experience a plus
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, organized and think creatively
  • Must have strong customer service skills and problem resolution skills
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be able to multi-task
  • Must be courteous, friendly and professional at all times through appearance, actions and dress
  • Must have the ability to build collaborative relationships with internal (e.g., property associates, off-property sales channels) and external (e.g., existing and potential accounts/customers) stakeholders
