Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives. Generally works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks.

Specific Job Summary

The HRIS Analyst performs routine systems administration on various technology solutions. The HRIS Analyst acts as a liaison with third-party vendors ensuring all company required system administration functions are completed effectively. The incumbent reports to the System Administrator and interfaces with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs), the Finance & Accounting (F&A) Accounting Services department, Legal, and third-party Providers, among others.

Expected Contributions

§ Performs the following types of basic tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.

§ Responds to, solves and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk.

§ Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.

§ Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:

- utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.

- establishing priorities for self and, where appropriate, others.

- allocating own time effectively to meet goals in a manner that does not disadvantage other associates or groups.

- contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc).

§ Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

§ Performs other duties as appropriate.

Specific Expected Contributions (including duties and responsibilities)

SYSTEM and DATA ADMINISTRATION

§ Provides back up for System Administrators for routine administration.

§ Assists with project management as required for acquisitions, testing, etc.

§ Provides report data on an ad-hoc basis to both internal MVW clients and 3rdparty vendors. Helps validate the accuracy of the HR data, facilitating both proactive & reactive data clean-up exercises.

§ Collaborates closely with the Manager, HRIS to ensure that the Reporting and the Data Administration functions are closely aligned.

ISSUE RESOLUTION

§ Researches, investigates and reports all problems, corrections, and changes related to inquiries and escalations at the routine level. Escalates complex problems and changes to Manager.

§ Works with all MVW partners on seasonal/ad-hoc projects for the relevant system, as a Subject Matter Expert.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

§ Assists in reviews of HR systems, procedures and processes and provides recommendations for enhancements that will streamline the processes of the HR department as a whole and will comply with company policies and governmental regulations.

Usually a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology). College degree and/or related experience typically required.

Experience

§ 3 to 5 years' experience utilizing HRIS solutions.

§ Background in data reporting preferred.

§ Experience of working with third party vendors preferred.

§ Understanding of client data configuration and security administration.
