Job Summary:

As a front desk supervisor at ADERO Scottsdale, you will take part in leading a team bent on delivering great experiences and memories for guests visiting our beautiful location in the McDowell Mountains of the Sonoran Desert. As one of the first and last impressions for our guests, our front desk team does this by handling duties such as check-in, check-out, guest requests, reservations, and telephone reception with friendliness, professionalism, efficiency, and a personalized touch.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works with other team supervisors to lead team and ensures efficient operation of front desk functions during shift, utilizing shift checklists as method of accountability.
  • Assist with rooms control, group planning, and other operational items
  • Conduct training of new hires
  • Ensures that all prescribed accounting policies are followed, front desk accounts are in balance daily, and credit procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for effectively handling guest complaints and problems.  Must be able to try and turn a negative into a positive for the property.
  • Learns and delivers the ADERO brand and the Exactly Like Nothing Else experience of the Autograph Collection Hotels
  • Motivate team members to deliver quality and grow professionally
  • Maintains positive communications with other departments, especially housekeeping, engineering, and accounting to ensure maximum attention to detail.
  • Consistently displays a positive attitude with each member and guest contact. First and last point of contact for members and guests.
  • Consistently projects a smile in voice when on phone
  • Consistently smiles when greeting members and guests, remembering you are “on stage” at all times.
  • Complete follow through with all member, guest, and coworker requests.
  • Follows all company personnel and operating policies and procedures including emergency plans
  • Other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Supervisory and leadership experience, preferably in a hospitality or customer service environment
  • Strong customer service, communication, problem resolution, and mediation skills
  • Familiar with basic administrative office processes and procedures
  • Friendly and professional image
  • Comfortable operating computer software in Microsoft Windows
  • Capable of typing quickly and accurately while using a telephone
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
