As a member of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Fire and Life Safety, the Fire Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and testing fire alarms and fire sprinkler systems, emergency power, means of egress, storage and housekeeping and system maintenance procedures for all domestic and international MVW properties.  Responsible for insuring compliance of fire protection standards for all MVCI properties; new build construction projects, renovations, and conversion globally in order to provide a superior level of life safety and protection to our guests, associates, and assets from the perils of fire, natural disasters, and terrorism.  Provide oversight and leadership to site engineers, loss prevention, and Managers of these disciplines as they work toward insuring compliance with Government and Company Fire Codes, Local Regulations, and  State and Federal Laws.

Responsible to conduct fire inspections at assigned properties ensuring compliance to applicable fire codes and corporate standards. Provides information and instructs resort engineers in operation and maintenance of systems. The information obtained during such inspections will be considered proprietary and confidential. The Inspector has responsibility for reporting high-level fire protection/life safety deficiencies to the Senior Manager of Fire and Life Safety.The Fire Inspector will work with the Global Safety and Security Consistency Report for Review of the competencies of the properties of the company. Other inspections or audits may be directed to the Fire Inspection Team as needed to insure the protection of the companies' associates, guests, owners and assets. This position supports the Global Safety and Security of the Company.Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. In addition some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements to be considered for this position. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
