Job Description


Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, the Financial Analyst is a driven and detail-oriented individual who supports the business via consolidation and analysis of financial and operational data. The focus is on planning & analysis, revenue & cost analysis and management reporting.

In performing the duties, legal regulations, GAAP as well as operating procedures of Marriott Vacation Club must be complied with. The role will participate in the various planning processes (Forecast, Budget, Strategic Plan, Long Range Plan) with business partners and work to strengthen the reporting and analysis area.


  • Management Reporting and Analysis
    • Provide timely and accurate reporting deliverables
    • Prepare revenue and cost analysis
    • Month-end close management reporting, consolidation and analysis
    • Preparation of month/quarter-end or full year variance analysis
    • Develop clear and concise variance explanations
    • Generation and preparation of reports/schedules (Including Executive Summary, DPA, month-end actual/forecast reporting packs)

  • Forecast/Budget/Strategic Plan/Long Range Plan (LRP) process
    • Preparation of forecast/budget for designated operating units
    • Assist in the preparation of Strategic Plan and LRP, including appropriate bridges and templates
    • Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate the forecast/Budget/Strategic Plan/LRP process

  • Planning and Analysis
    • Support business planning process
    • Provide relevant insights and analysis to support business decisions
    • Analyze financial results and work with business partners to understand key business drivers
    • Prepare ad-hoc analysis as per business needs

  • Projects / Ad-hoc duties
    • Provide ad-hoc analytical support for new developments, initiatives, financing plans, etc.
    • Assist in cross-functional projects requiring finance expertise
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects (e.g. Data validation, data migration, report creation or basic financial modelling)


The education, experience, skills and attributes important for this position are:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 4 years of relevant working experience, preferably with 2-3 years audit experience in a Big 4 environment. CPA/CA preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and has strong business acumen
  • Meticulous, well-organized with excellent time management skills
  • Able to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Resourceful, works well independently as well as in a team
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills an advantage but not a must
  • Experience with US Multi-National Corporation preferred
