Position Summary

As a member of general ledger and financial reporting, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in the accounting and finance area to support department objectives.  Generally, works with independence in accomplishing assigned responsibilities and meeting internal deadlines.  Collaborates between own department and others in alignment of delivery and receipt of financial data.

Job Summary

Preparation of various balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, including; operating and restricted cash, deferred revenue, prepaids, and receivables.  Perform month end closing process meeting specific reporting deadlines.   Perform preliminary P&L review and variance analysis.  Preparation of month-end and quarterly financial reporting packages supporting internal and external reporting.  Assist in annual budget processes and revenue and expense apportionment schedules supporting tax filings.

  • Prepare monthly/qtr./annual financial reporting schedules accurately and timely to support internal financials and to support parent company SEC filings

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget and reforecast data for various revenue and expense accounts
  • Preparation of annual apportionment schedules for tax department
  • Attend monthly (or ad hoc) meetings with finance and accounting leaders

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum Education required: Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum experience required: Three to five years in a general ledger staff position where responsibilities included; balance sheet account reconciliations, P&L review and variance analysis, cash flow activity and other accounting and finance functions

Skills Required:

Excel – intermediate to advanced skills

Highly organized and able to deliver on firm timelines

Ability to communicate with department leaders and peers
